This is the other project that has been taking up a lot of my time… My friend Peter and I tore out part of a wall between the kitchen and the dining room and put in a new counter top. It’s still not quite done (just need to paint the wall and add another coat of Bio Shield). I can visualize Jack doing homework here at some point. And maybe jumping off the counter onto the dining room table.
Things have been crazy around our house lately and the blog has been sadly neglected. So I’m going to make up for lost time and add a few new posts today.
Lara captured a few moments while I assembled Jack’s crib…
Here we are at week 29 and Jack is really growing! Lara and I went to a couples prenatal yoga together last week. I learned several techniques to help Lara with the discomforts of labor. We start our birthing class in December. I will write more interesting stuff about my feelings at some other time after breakfast.

Week 29 info from the Baby Center:
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you’ll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby’s hardening skeleton each day.

Here is another photo that illustrates Damian’s progress at the same time.
